Mount Clemens— Tanika Lynch was 16 when she shot Jocelyn Payne in the head, stabbed her and slit her throat over an alleged debt of $600. In 1984, Michelle Elias took aim at her female lover's husband, shooting him in the chest as he walked up the sidewalk to his home and then in the face at point-blank range in front of his wife and 4-year-old daughter. Now 32, Lynch has served 15 years of a 16- to 60-year sentence for second-degree murder and armed robbery in Payne's 1995 slaying. Elias, 48, has served about 25 years of a 20- to 40-year sentence on second-degree murder and firearm charges.
