Police are still investigating the suspected double-homicide of an ex-police sergeant and his nephew, who were found dead in a vacant house in the City of Newburgh Thursday. While police offered few additional details Monday, a look into public records showed that both victims had been arrested for stealing and one was in significant debt. Police discovered the bodies of Town of Lloyd residents Francis Piscopo, 49, and his nephew, Gerald Piscopo, 28, at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday inside a house at 12 Liberty St. Both apparently had been shot.
