A 40-year-old mother and former Scout leader is serving four years in state prison and faces a possible lifetime on state supervision for having sex with a 15-year-old boy in the bedroom of his home. Wendy R. Rogers, who was 39 when the boy's parents caught her sexually assaulting their son and barred the bedroom door until police arrived, pleaded guilty Oct. 22. St. Clair Circuit Judge John Baricevic sentenced her to state prison on the charge of criminal sexual assault/victim 13-17. Rogers, of O'Fallon, was sent to the prisoner reception unit at the Dwight Correctional Center, a prison for women, on Oct. 28. She is a registered sex offender.
