| No Jail Time For Former Officer |

A former Tulsa police officer received a five-year probation Wednesday - and no jail or prison time - for a felony drug offense. Travis Ludwig, 38, pleaded guilty Aug. 13 to two counts: possession of a controlled drug, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Tulsa County District Judge Kurt Glassco deferred sentencing for five years and made no finding of guilt. Ludwig can avoid a conviction and have the case dismissed upon completing his probation. In court Wednesday, defense attorney Paul Brunton argued that Ludwig should not be treated differently from any other first-time offender for sentencing in a case that involved a "minuscule" amount of cocaine.
