A north Georgia man who was convicted of molesting a child in Gwinnett County eight years ago is now accused of a repeat offense in Henry County. Wesley Allen Petty, 30, is listed on the state's sex offender registry for a 2002 act of child molestation, yet he got access to a 10-year-old boy over several months and molested him, police said. Petty had access to the boy from December to April, and "he did fondle the child on several different occasions during that time period," Henry County Police Department Sgt. Rene Swanson told the AJC Tuesday. Petty was arrested Oct. 14 after the boy complained about what Petty had done to him, Swanson said. Read More. |
