A controversial proposal for a community corrections center in Manheim Borough was discussed at council's meeting Nov. 9. Residents concerned about the proposal were encouraged to learn more by attending two upcoming meetings. Chris Simon, a council member, reported to borough officials about his research on community correction centers and MinSec Companies LLC. The for-profit private company is applying to the zoning hearing board for a special exception for a 100-bed center.
