YOUNGSTOWN - Detective Sgt. Jose Morales was already in Lucasville to witness the execution of Sidney Cornwell, and Connie Ressler was ready to head there when they found out Monday that Gov. Ted Strickland granted Cornwell clemency. The decision does not sit well with either of them. Ressler is the aunt of 3-year-old Jessica Ballew, whom Cornwell killed in June 1996 in a gang-retaliation shooting. She said her family wants to meet with the governor to talk about the decision.
