Wakulla Correctional Institute held a dedication ceremony Wednesday morning in honor of Harry Singletary ... longtime head of Florida's prison system. The Florida Corrections Academy will now be known as the Harry K. Singletary, Jr. Academy. Singletary served as Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections from April of 1991 until January of 1999. The building is dedicated in his honor for his lifelong commitment to the criminal justice field. Read More. |
