| Man Gets 20 Years On Top Of Current Sentence |

A man who pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault will spend the next two decades in a Tennessee prison. Jerry Len Shelley Jr., 46, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, which will be served on top of his Tennessee Department of Corrections sentence that ends in Jan. 2021. According to the indictment, Shelley burglarized the Guthrie, Ky., home of Michael Suiter, taking several weapons from the home in June 2007. Suiter saw Shelley leaving his home, called 911 and chased Shelley on Tylertown Road, according to court records. Shelley was driving a pickup truck that was reported stolen from Rainbow Skating Rink two days prior, court records said. Read More. |
