| Woman On Parole Arrested For Hit And Run |

Alma police have arrested a Southeast Georgia woman and man in a hit-and-run collision that killed two Bacon County men Sunday night. A parolee, Stephanie Jeanet Cothern, 28, of Ambrose and David Vernon Bell Jr., 23, of Screven each are charged with two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide in the deaths of Joshua Williams and Andrew Galbraith, Alma Police Chief Brandon Sellers told the Times-Union. Williams, 26, and Galbraith, 23, both of Alma were struck and killed while walking along U.S. 1 North near McClellan Drive in Alma about 11 p.m. by a car that fled the scene, Sellers said. Sellers said the investigation indicates Cothern was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima that struck the men, who were walking to a store. Read More. |
