DANVILLE, Ill. -- Convicted murderer Justin Boulay has been released from an eastern Illinois prison 12 years after he strangled his ex-girlfriend, a college student from far west suburban Batavia. Boulay, who is from St. Charles, was released because he was sentenced when Illinois law still allowed shaving a day off the prison term for every day of good behavior behind bars. Boulay, 33, left the Danville Correctional Center on Tuesday. He plans to live in Hawaii with a woman he married while in prison.
