| Inmate Walked Away From Prison, Turned Himself In |

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- A minimum security inmate who went missing from a transitional housing unit in Manchester turned himself in on Sunday. Stephen Foster, 36, of Lynn, Mass., was last seen at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit at about 11 p.m. Saturday during the facility’s regular population count. He was discovered missing from his room at about 2 a.m. Sunday during a routine inspection. Foster turned himself in to the center at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, New Hampshire Department of Corrections spokesman Jeff Lyons said. Foster will be charged with escape, a class B criminal charge that carries a maximum of seven years in state prison if he is convicted, Lyons said. Read More. |
