(Manchester, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections reports that a minimum security inmate is missing from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester. Stephen L. Foster, 36, of Lynn, Massachusetts was last seen at approximately 11:00 p.m. on November 20, 2010 during the facility’s regular population count. He was discovered missing from his room at approximately 2:00 a.m. on November 21, 2010 during a routine inspection. Inmate Foster is a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 305 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his upper right and upper left arms, his right forearm, and his abdomen. He had returned on a parole violation on February 17, 2010. He was originally sentenced to 5 to 10 years for armed robbery in Merrimack County Superior Court. His maximum release date will be December 14, 2010. State and local law enforcement agencies have been notified and efforts geared toward apprehension have been implemented.
