Guam DepCor Getting Federal Help

Guam - The Department of Corrections should be getting a large infusion of federal money soon to help pay down some of the $1.8 million that's owed to agency officers.

DepCor officials received notice from the U.S. Department of Justice that the $600,000 grant from the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program will be put into their account by the end of this week.

The department must wait for the funds to be processed through the Department of Administration and the Budget Office.
