NORRISTOWN — A Lansdale woman will be under court supervision for two years after she admitted to neglecting her children while she allegedly was under the influence of drugs in their presence. Catherine Chieffo-Dolga, 23, of East Third Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 24 months in the State Department of Corrections' Intermediate Punishment program after she pleaded guilty to charges of endangering the welfare of children, possession with intent to deliver heroin, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and recklessly endangering other persons in connection with incidents that occurred between February and March of 2009. Under the state's alternative sentencing program, offenders can be sentenced to drug treatment facilities or halfway houses with the focus on getting help to kick the drug or alcohol problems that lead them to commit crimes.
