| Death Warrant May Be Issued In AZ |

On Tuesday, the Arizona Supreme Court will discuss whether to set an execution date for death-row prisoner Daniel Wayne Cook, who was sentenced to death for killing two men in Lake Havasu City in 1987. If the justices issue the death warrant, as the order is called, Cook, 49, will be put to death by lethal injection 35 days later, in early January. It would be the second execution within three months, following a three-year lapse as state and defense attorneys hammered out the exact procedure for lethal injection.
