DELRAY BEACH — The man accused of beating an elderly shopper outside a Target store last week has a history of attacking strangers, and last year was ordered by a Broward County judge to attend an anger-management class. Barry Hochstadt, 53, allegedly punched a woman in the face and hit her boyfriend with a bowling pin outside their Deerfield Beach home in August 2007, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest report. He reportedly was upset that the 43-year-old woman crashed into his son's car earlier that morning. On Thursday, Hochstadt and his 12-year-old son, Aaron, were arrested on charges of battery on the elderly and criminal mischief.
