| FL Escapee Captured After 2 Hour Run |

PORT ST. JOE — An inmate who escaped from a Port St. Joe work crew was caught in Franklin County at 12:50 p.m. after spending two hours on the lam. Law enforcement officers and dog teams from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Corrections pursued the prisoner after he abandoned a City of Port St. Joe vehicle near Lanark Village and ran. He was located by a K-9 unit from Liberty Correctional Institution on Kentucky Street in Lanark Village about 30 minutes later. The prisoner is now in the Gulf County Jail. Lloyd Dow, 31, who was jailed at the Gulf Forestry Camp on burglary and credit card fraud charges out of Indian River County, walked away from the work detail in Port St. Joe shortly before 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning.
