A Howell Township man was sentenced Thursday to at least 23 months in prison for violating probation after getting into a fight at the Livingston County Jail. Defense attorney Timothy Livingston said his client, Dennis Lloyd Fraser Jr., was not aware of probation conditions placed on him that typically include a condition for no assaultive behavior because the probation office failed to provide him that notice. Fraser, 40, was sentenced this year to one year in the county jail for distributing child abusive commercial activity and possession of abusive material as well as two counts of using a computer to commit those crimes. He was also sentenced to five years of probation. "What he did in the county jail does not warrant (prison)," Livingston said. Read More. |
