| Four inmates hospitalized after riot at Indian Springs prison |

State officials are investigating a riot at the High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, Nev. Authorities say approximately sixty inmates were involved in Tuesday's melee. Nineteen suffered injuries, four had to be hospitalized. Staff responded to the incident and were able to bring the situation under control. The prison holds more than 1,800 medium- and maximum-security inmates. The prison has more than 300 guards. |
