Guam - An internal affairs investigation is underway at the Department of Corrections after two detainees were shot with a non-lethal weapon, while officers attempted to stop the pair from fighting. DepCor Acting Director Lieutenant Antone Aguon says several officers along with the special operations group responded to detainees Paul Aldan and Jesse Dakano at Post 17 after the pair got into a physical altercation. Aguon says since the two refused to listen to the officers instructions, they then were shot with a non-lethal FN-303 weapon. The weapon is used to incapacitate an individual without causing critical injuries. The detainees were taken to the infirmary for treatment and an investigation is underway to determine if the officers followed proper protocol. "If the investigation says that any officer did anything wrong or inappropriately or did not follow polices, then action will be taken in accordance with department rules and regulations," Aguon said.
