A former basketball standout who scored 2,243 points in his high school career and averaged 18.4 points and six assists per game in his senior year might find it difficult to rebound after being arrested Monday on drug and weapons charges. Jordan Carrier, left, and Leslie Douglas (Marion County Jail) Jordan R. Carrier, 24, and Leslie D. Douglas, 51, were taken into custody following execution of a search warrant by agents with the Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Team. Carrier played ball at Vanguard High School before attending Bethune-Cookman College. According to officials, a bondsman went to the residence shared by the two men at 3615 NE 19th Place to pick up another individual. The bondsman reportedly saw illegal drugs and contacted the Ocala Police Department, which called in the MADET team. Read More. |
