MISSOULA, Mont. -- We're learning new details about the man accused of raping one Missoula woman and sexually assaulting another. The Department of Corrections failed to fit Joshua Peltier with an electronic monitoring device as a judge recommended. When police arrested Peltier last week, he was out on conditional release for burglaries. Peltier was released from Butte's prerelease for a burglary and a conditional release violation in October and moved to Missoula. That is when the Department of Corrections Missoula office of probation and parole office took over his supervision. As a condition of his release, a judge recommended that Peltier wear an electronic monitoring device to let supervisors know when he left his house. Read More. |
