| Arrests Don't Stop County Burglaries |

Even as deputies were making arrests in one burglary case, another door was being kicked in on Thursday, said Pike County Sheriff Russell Thomas. “The irony is that while we’re in the middle of this investigation, and serving these warrants … we have another door kicked open out the county,” he said. “So we’re asking our citizens and neighborhood watches throughout the county to be very suspicious of unusual activities.” With burglaries increasing this time of year, Thomas said some items – such as large, flat-screen televisions – are increasingly popular. “If you see someone driving around with a flat-screen TV in the backseat of their car, particularly between 9 a.m. and noon, get as much information as you can about the vehicle,” he said. “We need to be watching out for our neighbors.” Read More. |
