The woman who claimed she had sex with her parole officer is a manipulator who used her false allegations as “a get out of jail free card,” his defense attorney charged Thursday. “This is a person who used sex to get benefits, to ruin lives,” defense attorney Sebasti Adams said in closing arguments at the sexual assault trial of Richard Lumar Riley. But prosecutors charged that Riley was the manipulator, using his position of authority over the woman to have sex with her twice, once in her Colorado Springs apartment in the summer of 2008 and again at a Denver motel on Dec. 22, 2008. “She’s a felon.
