| Dollar Store Robbers Caught In The Act |

A team of shoplifters that had been hitting Dollar General stores throughout the region were caught last week in Bruce. Twyla Letrice Walker, 32, of Verona; James L. Ball, 59, of Pontotoc; and Clinton Irwin Franklin, 29, of Tupelo; were all captured at the Bruce Dollar General after they tried to escape with more than $100 in merchandise. Bruce Police Chief Stan Evans said they got a call from the store when the crime was in process. Evans said the threesome would bring Dollar General shopping bags in the store with them. One would distract the store clerk while the others loaded the bags and walked out as if they had paid for the merchandise. Evans said Franklin was captured inside the store.
