| Suspended Sentence For Violent Teen |

A 19-year-old Billings man who attacked his father with a shower curtain rod was given a deferred sentence Monday in District Court. Johnny Allen Washee Jr., was given a three-year deferred sentence by Judge G. Todd Baugh for felony assault with a weapon. Washee will remain in custody, however, because he also received a consecutive sentence to the state Department of Corrections until age 21 for violating probation in a felony Youth Court case. Washee was charged in July 2009 after police responded at 2:15 a.m. to a 911 call at an apartment on St. Johns Avenue. Washee's father said his son attacked him when he was told to leave the apartment because he had been drinking alcohol. The father said his son punched him in the chest, knocked him into the bathroom and into the bathtub, then held him down with his foot as he repeatedly struck him with a shower curtain rod.
