| Gang Murder Began Within Prison |

Four alleged gang members have been charged with conspiring from behind prison walls in the fatal shooting of the gang's leader earlier this year in Tacoma. The four men, three of whom remain in prison on other charges, are among nine people who have been charged in connection with the slaying of Eastside Lokotes Sureños (ELS) leader Juan Zuniga-Gonzalez in May at his home. One of the suspects, Moises Larreinaga, 22, was charged last week, just one day before his release from the Monroe Correctional Complex, where he served time for unlawful possession of a firearm. Larreinaga, according to charging documents, may have expected to take over as leader of the ELS after Zuniga-Gonzalez was slain. Read More. |
