| Probation Officer Gets Time For Assault |

A former Michigan Department of Corrections probation officer pleaded no contest Wednesday to third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with an assault on a 35-year-old Detroit woman whose probation he supervised. Mark V. Titus, 47, of Grosse Pointe Park, formerly worked for the MDOC for 11 years. He had originally faced eight counts of criminal sexual conduct for sexually assaulting the woman between April 2008 and August 2008. Under a sentencing agreement, he will serve 40 months to 15 years in an MDOC prison, Maria Miller, a spokeswoman for Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said in a prepared statement. Read More. |
