| Incarcerated Veterans Dedicate and Donate Original Painting to New Hampshire National Guard |

(Concord, NH) Inmates at the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord honored veterans during their annual Veterans Day ceremony in November. The event was conducted by the Resident Chapter 161 of the Vietnam Veterans of America. This year the veterans dedicated and donated a painting (attached as a .jpeg) of a KC-135 aircraft to Major General William Redell, the New Hampshire National Guard Adjutant General. Painted by inmate Daniel Beauchesene, the image depicts Aircraft Tail #3650 gear down on approach for landing. This aircraft was first delivered to the New Hampshire Air National Guard from active duty inventory in the 1970’s and is still flying today. The painting will hang at the new headquarters building at Pease Air National Guard base in Newington. The organization participates in three observances every year including Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and POW/MIA Day in September. Each event brings special recognition to a branch of the military. There are over 250 inmates incarcerated in New Hampshire prison facilities who report that they are veterans. |
