| Mother, Daughter Victims Of Christmas Killing |

KALISPELL, Mont. -- 34-year-old Tyler Michael Cheetham of Kalispell sits behind bars today after being arrested for a double homicide discovered Christmas afternoon. Cheetham allegedly shot and killed 35-year-old Jaimi Hurlbert and her daughter, 15-year-old Alyssa Burkett. Flathead County Sheriff Mike Meehan says Cheetham knew the victims. Someone called 911 just before 3 p.m. Saturday to report a disturbance. Deputies showed up to Cheetham's mother's house to find Hurlbert and Burkett shot. One victim was dead and the other was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The second victim died shortly after getting to the hospital. Deputies searched for the suspect for more than an hour. He allegedly drove from the homicide scene in the victim's vehicle and abandoned it. Read More. |
