| NJ Man Escapes From Halfway House |

KEARNY -- A man convicted of the 2003 vehicular homicide of a Jersey City mother of four on the Pulaski Skyway remains missing following his escape from a halfway house where he was finishing his prison term, officials said. Roosevelt Kelly, 36, formerly of Union, was convicted of the Dec. 9, 2003 vehicular homicide of Donna Johnson, 32, a resident of the A. Harry Moore Public Housing Complex on Duncan Avenue, officials said. Kelly went missing from Columbus House in Newark two days before Christmas, officials said today. On the day she died, Johnson was a passenger in the uninsured, uninspected 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage with fictitious plates driven by Kelly, Kearny police told The Jersey Journal at the time.
