| IL DOC Faces Sexual Harassment Lawsuit |

A former correctional officer at the Thomson (Ill.) Correctional Center has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the Illinois Department of Corrections and two supervisors. Aaron Anderson of Morrison, Ill., filed the suit Monday in U.S. District, Rock Island, through his attorneys at the Moline law firm of Katz, Huntoon and Fieweger. The suit names the Illinois Department of Corrections and Joseph J. McCray and Randy Newstrand as defendants. Efforts to reach a department of corrections representative for comment Tuesday were not successful. Anderson claims he was harassed while employed at the prison starting in July 2008. He claims co-workers and his male supervisors made inappropriate sexual comments to him and inappropriately touched his groin and buttocks, the suit states.
