| Man Arrested For Murder Shortly After Release From Prison |

A 20-year-old West Palm Beach man was arrested late Saturday in connection with the first homicide of the new year, investigated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Stephen Woodman, 20, is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting 23-year-old Vito Caggiano at a New Years Eve party, just hours after midnight. The fatal shooting happened around 4 a.m. New Years Day, Sheriff's office spokeswoman Teri Barbera said. When deputies arrived to the scene in the 2900 block of "C" Road, they found Caggiano already dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Caggiano, of Loxahatchee, was involved in a fight with at least one other man at the party before he was shot, according to a preliminary investigation by the sheriff's office.
