| Man Attacks Police During Attempted Arrest |

It was a combative New Year's morning in the 2900 block of Main Street, where Napa police were called at around 11 a.m. with a report of a disturbance. Arriving officers found that Anthony Amodeo, 23, of Napa, had vandalized the home and been placed under citizens arrest by one of its residents, according to a press release from the police department. As police began to take Amodeo into custody, he punched one of the officers in the head and fled on foot, fighting with officers when they caught up with him and resisting until they were able to restrain him in handcuffs. Amodeo was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections for battery on a police officer, resisting arrest causing injury to an officer and vandalism. Read More. |
