| Hit and Run Suspect Had History In Jails |

Last spring, Robbie Wissler decided to make South Florida home, moving from Minnesota to live with his father and find a career -- which he'd started only weeks ago at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. That was about the same time Cedric Williams was freed from lock-up in West Miami-Dade after the latest in a long string of prison stints for felonies ranging from sexual battery to cocaine peddling. Their paths randomly and fatally crossed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run at an intersection in Miami. Miami police say Williams, who admitted to drinking, rocketed through a red light at Northeast Second Avenue and 82nd Street in a Chevy Astro van and smashed into Wissler's Honda Civic. Wissler, 25, and two female friends visiting from out of town were killed instantly. A family friend was seriously injured. Read More. |
