A parolee who Oceanside police said went on the lam after he fatally shot his wife in front of her 6-year-old daughter on New Year's Day has a history of violence against women and may have kidnapped a friend to drive him out of the region, court records show. Although suspected killer Dontaye Henderson remained on the run Monday, San Diego County prosecutors formally filed a murder charge against Henderson, 28, for shooting his wife, Tamara Henderson, in the chest during an argument in her Oceanside apartment. Prosecutors also charged Henderson with child abuse for allegedly shooting his wife in front of her little girl.
