| Troopers Capture Missing Inmate |

Alaska State Troopers have apprehended a prisoner who escaped from the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility Wednesday morning, as well as an accomplice in his escape. After a six-hour, multi-agency manhunt, Kent Charles Matte, 44, was apprehended at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Stanley Road and the Parks Highway, just north of Wasilla near city limits. Matte subsequently received medical attention for injuries sustained during his escape. Troopers also arrested 22-year-old Kosha Lynae Jacob of Wasilla as an accomplice in Matte’s escape. She was charged with escape in the second degree as an accomplice and hindering prosecution, and her bail was set at $5,000 cash. Read More. |
