| TX Man Sentenced For Deadly Car Crash |

A man who caused a car crash that killed Lisa Koloen of Dallas last year has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison, officials said Monday. Brock Robert Britt, 25, pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter, reckless driving, driving under the influence and possession of methadone and Soma, Polk County Deputy District Attorney Timothy Park said. Soma is a brand of the drug Carisoprodol, a muscle relaxant, according to the National Institutes of Health. Britt was sentenced Thursday to 10 years and 8 months in prison with no chance of early release or alternative programs, Park said. Britt's Isuzu SUV crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a Chevrolet Suburban nearly head-on, on June 6 on Highway 223 near Rickreall Road in Polk County, according to Oregon State Police.
