Wanted Parolee Caught In KS

A man featured as one of northeast Kansas's most wanted persons was arrested by Jackson County authorities and turned over to Topeka police, Jackson County Sheriff's officials said Thursday.

Jackson County sheriff's detective Al Dunn said deputies stopped a 1991 Ford F-150 for a possible intoxicted driver on US-75 highway, near 334th Road, at about 9:47 p.m. Wednesday. Dunn said the passenger in the vehicle was arrested in connection with warrants in Shawnee County.

Jeffery Thomas Parsons, 42, of Alma, was arrested and later booked into the Shawnee County Jail in connection with parole violation with the Kansas Department of Corrections, forgery, no proof of insurance and fleeing and attempting to elude.
