| No Parole For KY Husband Killer |

FRANKFORT, Ky. - A Fort Thomas woman convicted of killing her husband was denied parole Tuesday. Cheryl McCafferty was ordered to serve five more years in prison before being given another chance at parole. Lisa Lamb, the director of communications at the Kentucky Department of Corrections, cited the severity of the crime and the fact that a life was taken as reasons to deny McCafferty parole. Last week, McCafferty told parole board members that she panicked when she shot and killed her husband, Robert, at their home in 2007. Read More. |
