A Fond du Lac man whose sexual assaults left a girl reluctant to even hug people has been sentenced to 13 years in prison. Timothy W. Wondra, 25, will be under four years of extended supervision following prison and spend his life as a registered sex offender after being convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a child. A plea deal was reached Dec. 3, 2010, when Wondra pleaded no contest to the charge. A charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child was dismissed and read into the court record. As part of the deal, Assistant District Attorney Devra Ayala agreed to cap her prison recommendation at four years with extended supervision, said District Attorney Dan Kaminsky. Circuit Court Judge Peter Grimm on Thursday noted the crime was severe and warranted the incarceration suggested in the pre-sentence investigation written by the state Department of Corrections.
