Facebook In VA Prison

The social network is at the center of controversy in Central Virginia.

The Virginia Department of Corrections has launched an investigation to find out how convicted killer Joey Parrish is posting messages on his Facebook page.

Parrish is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Tahliek Taliaferro.

Taliaferro was shot and killed in Powhatan County in June 2008.

DOC spokesman Larry Traylor told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett that Virginia inmates are not allowed to use the Internet or have access to cell phones.
