LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) - The impending death of IMPD Officer David Moore is one his brothers and sisters in blue have come to know all too well. For the family of another fallen officer, the feelings of grief are connected with another emotion: frustration, because it appears another suspected cop killer may have fallen through cracks in the system. Next month, the family of Indiana State Police Master Trooper Michael Greene will mark the 18th anniversary of the day he was shot and killed during what was described as another routine traffic stop. His convicted killer was a man they say should never have been able to pull the trigger. “It's just an angel looking over police,” said John Greene, running his fingers over a paperclip twisted into the shape of a guardian angel, hanging from a “police blue” lanyard around his neck.
