| Attempted Murder Lands Man In Jail Again |

A 33-year-old Chicago man was in a hospital Sunday as a judge denied him bail, two days after authorities say he made a second attempt to kill the same woman. About 1:45 a.m. Friday, Lance Wyatt stabbed the 36-year-old woman in the neck, damaging her vocal cords, inside an apartment in the 1400 block of North Lake Shore Drive, in the city's Gold Coast neighborhood, according to a police report. The stabbing was Wyatt's second attempt on the woman's life, prosecutors told Cook County Circuit Judge Jackie Portman on Sunday in bond court. In early 2010, Wyatt was charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint, court records show. Read More. |
