| Smokes Land Couple In Jail |

RICHLAND -- A Richland couple who fought over cigarettes landed in jail on assault and drug charges, police said. The incident started just after noon Tuesday when Richland police were called to a home on the 1600 block of Thayer Drive about an assault possibly involving a knife, said Capt. Jeff Taylor. Officers found David Simpson, 38, and Corinna Elliott, 39, fighting in the front yard, he said. Officers saw Elliott punch Simpson, and Simpson responded by kicking her, he said. Simpson and Elliott, who live together, reportedly began fighting after Simpson ignored Elliott's request to go to the store for some cigarettes. Read More. |
