NaphCare, Inc., a leading provider of prison health services throughout the nation, was recently awarded a new Federal Bureau of Prisons facility health services contract. On January 11 the company announced that it will provide medical services for roughly 2,200 inmates at the medium security Federal Correctional Institute Beckley in Raleigh County, West Virginia. NaphCare welcomes the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical services to this facility and to be part of the Raleigh County community of employers. A company spokesperson stated that this, like all correctional facilities healthcare contracts, is both an opportunity and an obligation to not only provide the best possible healthcare but to continually strive to redefine just what excellence in healthcare can and should be. In December of last year, NaphCare announced a new contract with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and a contract with Nueces County Correctional Department in Texas was awarded in November. NaphCare’s Florida Department of Juvenile Justice contract calls for the company to provide medical services for approximately 500 juveniles in 6 Florida detention centers. NaphCare will be utilizing its TechCare proprietary electronic medical records system for the care of an estimated 1,000 residents of the Nueces County Jail and McKenzie Annex for the Nueces County Correctional Department, a system that has earned NaphCare a reputation as one of the most innovative companies providing inmate healthcare today.
