| Deadly Family Feud Gets Special Attention |

STAUNTON — Trying to cool a family feud that has already left one person dead, a special grand jury convened Tuesday in Staunton Circuit Court to consider indicting a Staunton man suspected in the Jan. 11 stabbing death of 32-year-old Jamil Hakime Ford. The 11-person Shenandoah Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury listened to several hours of testimony behind closed doors without rendering a decision. Deshawn J. Kelly, 33, is suspected of stabbing Ford at a home on 2504-A Hickory Street in Staunton as the two men fought over Ford's ex-girlfriend, court records show. Ford, according to Staunton prosecutor Raymond Robertson , took a cab to the home, where he confronted Kelly before being stabbed. He died a short time later at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
