WINFALL – Corrections and law enforcement officers are seeking minimum-custody inmate George Johnson #1241496, who ran this morning from a work assignment at the NC Dept. of Transportation maintenance yard in Winfall. Johnson, 38, was convicted in Johnston County for speeding to elude arrest and receiving a stolen vehicle and sentenced to 6 to 8 months in prison. He was assigned to the minimum-security unit at Pasquotank Correctional Institution in Elizabeth City and scheduled for release June 28. Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts should call local police or Pasquotank Correctional Institution at 252-331-4881. |
