COSHOCTON -- He isn't denying he fathered two children with a girl by the time she was 14, but a Warsaw man is arguing the Coshocton County Common Pleas Court had no jurisdiction in the case. Stephen Whitt, 54, of U.S. 36, was sentenced in June by Judge Richard Evans to 25 years to life on one count of rape and a consecutive nine-year sentence on a second count of rape, both first-degree felonies. Whitt received seven-year and four-year sentences on two sexual battery charges, second-degree felonies, to run concurrent to the rape sentence. Read More. |
